Maeve O'Higgins

Maeve has extensive experience of family law in relation to children matters, including applications for leave to remove/relocation of children cases.

Maeve regularly acts for parents wishing to relocate abroad with their children and parents opposing children moving abroad, after the end of their couple relationship. She has a good record of success in such matters, including applications for temporary removal of children abroad (for both relocating and left behind parents) and successful High Court applications to non-Hague Convention countries, involving complex and difficult issues, including enforcement of contact after the relocation.

Maeve is an experienced family mediator, having trained with John Haynes, NFM and the Family Mediators Association. She is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Family Mediation Panel and a long-standing member of Resolution - first for family law.
